Farid boulaya (Vitrolles, France, February 25, 1993) is an Algerian-French footballer. He currently plays for the Metz Football Club of the Ligue 1.
Farid's sports career begins at the FC Istres quarry; He signed his first professional contract in 2013. He was called up by the Algerian under-20 team, but is not selected to participate in the African Cup of Nations. After a difficult 2014-2015 season, he joined FA Clermont in the summer of 2015.
Boulaya arrived at Girona FC in the summer of 2017 to play in the Spanish First Division, as a personal bet by Quique Cárcel, but the midfielder's adaptation problems, added to the lack of rhythm due to injuries, cut him off from a projection that seemed thrown when he played in France.
In January 2018, Girona confirmed its withdrawal from the squad in the winter market; the Franco-Algerian Farid Boulaya goes to the French Metz on loan until the end of the season, but with a compulsory purchase option for the then bottom of the Ligue 1.
